So what is it like to reside in a seven-star place?
Many residents of Dubai admire the Burj Al Arab as an iconic landmark, and some may have been there on a visit for tea or dinner – but not many have actually spent a few nights there. So what is it like to reside in a seven-star place?
Entering the Burj Al Arab delivers the luxury you expect. There is no classical front desk where guests check in our out – at the Burj Al Arab, guests get their personal care from arrival till departure by helpful hotel staff – including a 24-hour butler service, which is keen to answer all the guest’s wishes. Accomodation is great – suites come as spacious one bedroom or duplex apartments with two bedrooms, lush living rooms with dining areas, huge bathrooms with Jacuzzi and the latest in entertainment equipment, all remote controlled. The size of the suites ranges from 170 to 335 square metres.
The best place to dine is the Al Iwan Royal Dining Hall, located at the ground of the world’s tallest atrium adjacent to the purling lobby fountain. The menu offers finest Arabic cuisine. For sea food lovers, Al Mahara Restaurant delivers an opulent menu with a view on an aquarium with a wide selection of colourful exotic fish.
The Burj Al Arab is extravagance in every sense. One may say that the design is a little bit to exaggerated for everyone’s taste, but that’s what you have to live with during your stay – and it’s truly bearable.
Not to forget: All this comes at a price, but it’s worth the experience.
