The third annual Ballet Grand Gala will return to Dubai’s Madinat Theatre on January 7 and 8 with a first-time performance of Amoveo, choreographed by Benjamin Millepied, the director of the Paris Opera Ballet — and the choreographer of the Oscar-nominated film Black Swan.

The gala will also feature a performance by etoile dancer Dorothee Gilbert, one of the Opera’s most acclaimed dancers, who has performed leading roles in The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Romeo & Juliet. Gilbert will perform a pas de deux duet from Giselle with her partner, Hugo Marchand

The programme also includes performances of classical and modern ballets such as Le Corsaire, Mi Favorita and In the Middle Somewhat Elevated.

Tickets, Dh295-495, are at the Madinat Theatre box office and Virgin Megastores.
