Abraham, Bips box office clash averted

Last week, Bollywood siren Bipasha Basu was fretting on twitter about a possible box-office clash with her boyfriend John Abraham on October 14. But the potentially explosive situation seems to have reached an anti-climactic finish.

The reason? News has just trickled in that John Abraham-starrer Jhootha Hi Sahi's release has been pushed by a week to October 21, making Basu's honour-killing drama, Aakrosh, next week's strong solo release.

"I have just heard John's Jhootha Hi [Sahi] has been pushed by a week," Basu told tabloid! "So yeah, we are not going to clash at the box-office for the first time in nine years like I thought. Frankly, I am relieved in some ways but you know what — I am not a person who gets overly stressed about my films or its release."

The split-proof couple, who have been going steady for eight years, also admit that it's their varied personalities that make them click.

"One of our biggest strengths is that we know we are different human beings with different temperaments. We may do the same work but our approaches to films are very different. For instance, I am clinical about my releases but John gets quite emotional about it— a bit too emotional maybe," said Basu, chuckling at her own observation about her long-time boyfriend who has featured in hits including Dostana and Jism.

So did this box-office clash scenario spell a trouble in paradise?

"Absolutely not. There was never any stress between us regarding this at all. I found the situation refreshingly new. But now all I hope is that both the films do well."

Aakrosh is scheduled to be released in the UAE on October 14.
