For the pleasure of self-punishment. To experience pain and humiliation, whilst teeing off and not making it past the ladies’ tee.

To check your vocal strength. It’s a good way to practise your voice control when having to alert fellow golfers of your stray drive.

To support golf product manufacturers. It is always a great feeling to support the golf ball manufacturers by constantly having to replenish your stock with new nice and expensive golf balls.

To dress like the icons. This is your chance to dress like Michelle Wie or Tiger Woods, now that’s what I call being stylish!

To ride on a golf buggy. Where in the world can you drive a golf cart like you’re on a desert safari, but on grass?

To practise the ‘try and try again till you succeed’ route. How else to blow a lot of
money on the right kind of equipment like irons, drivers, and so on – and still not improve?

Make new friends. If you think it’s hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

To have a sauna treatment for free. When playing golf during summer time, you don’t have to drop by the sauna.

To learn from experience. To learn that the only time my wishes never come true is on the golf course.

To test your luck. So that you know that you have had a good day if you didn’t fall out of the golf cart.
