ANKARA: Turkey’s economy minister said the relevant authorities will intervene in the market if they see speculative fluctuations in the exchange rate, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported on Friday.

Nihat Zeybekci said the relevant institutions would “do what is necessary” in the near future, Anadolu reported.

The Turkish lira has hit a series of record lows in recent days.
