Short-term visa exemption for UAE, Switzerland

Abu Dhabi: The UAE and Switzerland signed on Tuesday an agreement for the mutual exemption of short-term visas.

The agreement exempts holders of Emirati and Swiss passports from short-term visas, based on terms similar to the Schengen visa agreement.

The agreement was signed by Ahmad Abdul Rahman Al Jarman, Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Legal Affairs, and Maya Tissafi, Switzerland’s Ambassador to the UAE.
