Dubai Municipality’s 1-hectare neighbourhood park built at a cost of Dh4.5 million
Dubai: Dubai Municipality on Monday opened Nad Al Sheba-2 park as part of the 37th Plantation Week celebrations. Various activities to mark the occasion will continue until 16th of March. The almost one-hectare park with 0.64 hectares of landscaping was built at a cost of Dh4.5 million.
It includes many recreational, sports and service facilities, including a 389-metre-long running track, a fitness area and two games areas. It contains 14 decorative palm trees, 103 other decorative trees, 308 ornamental shrubs, 2,465 metres of plant walls, 974 metres of soil covering, and a landscaping with 350 flowers on an area of 755 metres.
