Holiday Inn Downtown opens in Abu Dhabi

Dubai: The Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi Downtown has opened, according to a statement on Wednesday.

The hotel, which was converted from the Sands Hotel, marks the second Holiday Inn hotel, and sixth InterContinental Hotels Group property in the capital and 18th in the UAE.

The 257-room hotel features a rooftop swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna, restaurants and business centre.

There are more than 1,200 Holiday Inn hotels globally, with another 268 in the pipeline.
