Excelsior Hotel Gallia to join Starwood’s The Luxury Collection portfolio

Dubai: Qatar-based Katara Hospitality’s Excelsior Hotel Gallia will join Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ The Luxury Collection portfolio, according to a statement on Monday.

The hotel, which is undergoing an expansion, is expected to open in November. It will be The Luxury Collection’s seventh hotel in Italy. It expects to surpass 100 hotels globally in the next five years. The 235-room Excelsior Hotel Gallia first opened in 1932 in central Milan.
