2,000 guests and Kylie to attend Palm Atlantis opening party

Dubai: The recent fire at the Palm doesn't seem to have slowed down plans for the opening celebrations at the luxury hotel.

The company revealed that 2,000 guests will be invited to a private party on the resort's beach.

Pop diva Kylie Minogue will make her first appearance in the middle east when she plays a concert at the party, while a giant fireworks display has been planned to top off the evening.

Invitations are being sent by Sol Kerzner, Chairman of Kerzner International and Sultan Ahmad Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of Nakheel.
