Special committee formed to boost cooperation between leisure and retail industries

Abu Dhabi: Led by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) the first ever Industry Development Committee (IDC) for Events and Retail has been organised to promote understanding and collaboration between industry leaders in the leisure and retail sectors. The meeting took place to work towards optimising and enhancing the alignment of events in malls with TCA Abu Dhabi events as well as other initiatives taking place across the capital.

The meeting also covered TCA Abu Dhabi’s ongoing strategy for the sector, updates on upcoming events in 2017, recent innovations such as the Event Licensing System as well as the signing of the Events and Retail Charter.
