Dubai Duty Free records 14% surge in sales

Dubai: The Dubai Duty Free said on Tuesday that it recorded first quarter sales of Dh1.42 billion ($390 million), marking a 14 per cent increase over the same period last year

The airport retailer said in a statement that the performance signaled a positive year ahead for the company as sales across all three Dubai airport terminals showed an upward trend, clocking increases of 15 per cent year to date in Terminal 1.

There was also a 21 per cent increase in sales in Terminal 2, and a 12 per cent increase in sales in Emirates-dedicated Terminal 3.
