Pure Gold sees sales at Abu Dhabi Duty Free up 32 per cent

Dubai: Pure Gold Jewellers said in a statement on Monday that it recorded an increase of 32 per cent in gold jewellery sales at Abu Dhabi Duty Free during the first two quarters of this year compared to the same period last year.

Overall sales for diamonds, pearls and silver jewellery were up nine per cent.

Karim Merchant, CEO and MD of Pure Gold Jewellers credits the increase in sales to “the continued growth in passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport” and “ the drop in gold prices.”
