Planning a penthouse purchase in Dubai? The city’s property market is stocked with ultra-pricey residential options, but when it comes to listed penthouses, these are the main areas with options available.

 * Among neighborhoods with the highest proportion of penthouse availability is The Hills, where penthouses represent 12.9% of all homes on the market, says analysis from eXp Dubai.

* Dubai Internet City follows with 8.6%, offering a ‘relatively strong selection’.

The Palm Jumeirah still offers quite a few penthouse options for those actively searching in the market.

* Palm Jumeirah has a current 4.3% penthouse availability, matching options along those on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Dubai Marina has over the years been a favoured residential spot for investors. Even now, there are quite a few penthouses available at this hotspot.

* The Jumeirah enclave offers 3.9% and Dubai Marina 3%, ‘giving buyers a moderate choice in some of the city’s most desirable addresses’.

Jumeirah Village Circle is expanding by the month. This mid- to upper-mid market location does have a few penthouse choices.

* In the more mid to upper-mid residential choices, Jumeirah Village Circle and Dubai Sports City each have penthouses making up just 0.2% of the market, while developments like Dubai Hills Estate and Sobha Hartland have only 0.1% when it comes to active listings.
