Nakheel awards Boardwalk contract to Overseas AST

Dubai: Property developer Nakheel said on Monday that its Dh150 million Boardwalk at Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah has moved a step closer with the award of a contract to Overseas AST Company.

The company’s project includes an east and west pier — each stretching 100 metres out to sea — with cafes and restaurants.

Construction is expected to start before the end of 2014, while completion is likely to be in mid-2016.
