Emaar group CEO resigns

Property developer’s COO will handle CEO Abdullah Lahej's responsibilities

Dubai: Emaar Properties said on Sunday its group chief executive officer Abdullah Lahej has resigned as the group chief executive officer.

Amit Jain, the group’s chief operating officer, will handle Lahej’s responsibilities, the company said in a statement posted on Dubai Financial Market’s website post market hours.

Emaar Properties shares ended  2.16 per cent higher at Dh6.15.

Abdullah Lahej has resigned as the group chief executive officer of Emaar Properties.
