Damac names candidates for board of directors

DUBAI

Damac has named the 11 candidates that have applied for the company’s Board of Directors, in a statement posted on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) website on Thursday.

Enrolment was opened on May 24, and closed on June 4. In total, 11 candidates applied for seven board seats.

The board membership election will take place at Damac’s general assembly, attended by shareholders, on June 14.

Ziad El Chaar, the Dubai-listed property developer’s managing director, resigned on May 18. His replacement has yet to be named.
