WGEO launches Financial Sector Platform

The World Green Economy Organisation, launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in October 2016 and supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), unveiled the Financial Sector Platform on Friday at the UN Headquarters in Beijing. The platform was launched with an objective to mobilise investments for energy efficiency initiatives and programmes to support the shift towards a green economy.

A delegation from WGEO led by Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer, Chairman of the World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO) headed to Beijing for the official launch of the platform.

The official launch event was followed by meetings with officials from the private and public sectors in China.
