Abu Dhabi/Dubai: UAE stock markets will reopen tomorrow after a three-day break following the death of Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, but will be closed soon after for the Eid Al Adha holidays.

Abdullah Al Turifi, Executive Director of the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority, said the decision had been taken after consultations with Abu Dhabi and Dubai stock exchange markets, "to safeguard the interests of stock dealers and investors".

"Both markets will resume trading next Sunday (tomorrow) but will close again for three days Monday through Wednesday to mark the Eid Al Adha holidays before they reopen on Thursday," Al Turifi said.

Meanwhile, the UAE Central Bank has asked money exchanges in Dubai and other emirates to resume business today.
