UAE markets end lower on Monday

Dubai Financial Market-listed (DFM) stocks ended 0.18 per cent lower while Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange general index fell - 0.77 per cent

Abu Dhabi: Dubai Financial Market-listed (DFM) stocks ended 0.18 per cent lower on Monday with the DFM Index closing at 1,828.88.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange general index also fell - 0.77 per cent - to 2,727.83.

In Dubai, about 181.55 million shares cumulatively worth around Dh348.57 million were transacted. On the Abu Dhabi bourse, the volume of trade was however, lower. As many as 50.23 million shares worth around Dh130.65 million changed hands on the ADX.

In Dubai, real estate major Emaar's stock rose 2.09 per cent to Dh3.90.

Real estate developer Aldar Properties' shares were the most traded by value on the Abu Dhabi bourse, followed by Sorouh Real Estate. However, both the stocks fell. Aldar declined 0.14 per cent to Dh5.24, while Sorouh's stock went down 0.12 per cent to Dh2.69.
 

Earlier, the UAE stock markets opened lower on Monday. DFM index was down 1.29 per cent at 1,808.54, while Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index slipped to 2,728.28, 0.76 per cent lower at 11am.
