Abu Dhabi: UAE financial markets will remain closed on November, December 11, to mark the birth of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
According to the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), work will resume on Monday, December 12. The holiday is based on a circular issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources on the Prophet’s birth holiday.
SCA left the door open for the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange to determine the holiday according to work requirements and public interest.
