Dubai: Standard Chartered said on Monday it has appointed Ronald Tamale, a founding member of its Africa Private Equity division in 2008, as the regional investment arm, with immediate effect.
Tamale will report to Taimoor Labib, Regional Head of Private Equity for Africa & Middle East, who is based in Dubai, the bank said in an emailed statement.
Standard Chartered Private Equity (SCPE) has invested over $800 million in supporting expanding African companies, spurring growth with investment capital complimented by managerial, structuring and financial advisory expertise.
