OIC reports Dh71.7m second-quarter net profit

First-half earnings top Dh127.2m while total assets reach Dh5.9b in same period

Abu Dhabi: Oman Insurance Company reported on Sunday a net profit of Dh71.7 million for the second quarter of this year, marking an increase from the Dh48.8 million made during the same period last year.

The figure brings the net profits for the first half the year to Dh127.2 million — up from the Dh94.3 million made during the first half of 2013.

Total assets also grew during the first half of 2014 to reach Dh5.9 billion, an increase from Dh5 billion recorded at the end of the second half of 2013.
