Julphar’s net profit for first quarter falls

Overall, profit was negatively impacted due to taxes, and increase in cost in some of the company’s important market

Dubai: Gulf Pharmaceuticals (Julphar) said on Sunday its net profit for the first quarter to March was impacted negatively.

Net profit came in at Dh44.1 million, the company said in a statement posted on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s website, without giving the year ago figure. Overall, profit was negatively impacted due to taxes, and increase in cost in some of the company’s important markets, it said in a statement.

Gross profit was at Dh189 million, and sales revenues of Dh369.3 million in the three months to March, the company added.
