Emirates NBD extends money transfer service to Philippines

Dubai: Emirates NBD said on Wednesday it has extended its money transfer service to the Philippines.

Remittances by overseas Filipino workers are the third largest globally, totalling an estimated $24 billion per year, and among the top five within the UAE. “We are also looking at expanding this service to cover other countries in the near future,” stated Suvo Sarkar, General Manager — Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Emirates NBD. The company launched its DirectRemit platform earlier this year with 60 seconds bank transfers to India.
