Julphar's sales revenues hit Dh762m, up 21.9%

Ras Al Khaimah: Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar) announced yesterday the company registered sales revenues of Dh762 million for 2009, up a healthy 21.9 per cent year-on-year.

Sales during the period were given by the private market sales which saw a yoy growth of 24.9 per cent, against growth in tender sales of 16.9 per cent year on year.

According to a press release the company issued yesterday, the company continued to show robust operational performance this year.

Gross profit for the year was Dh454.8 million, up 27.4 per cent over 2008. Operating profit margins also improved during the year over the previous year. Net profit for the year was Dh122.5 million.

The company enjoys a robust orderbook and is expected to turn in a good performance, with expected double-digit growth in revenues and operation profit, in 2010.
