GCC Secretary-General, WTO Director-General discuss cooperation

GENEVA: Dr Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), discussed with Roberto Azevedo, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) ways to enhance joint cooperation in various sectors, and the organisation’s efforts to promote trade relations across the world. In a statement issued on Wednesday by the GCC Secretariat General, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the participation of regional organisations in the work of WTO committees to achieve further benefits for the GCC trade sector.
