Brussels: Official figures show consumer prices across the 19-country Eurozone fell in May for the third month in the last four. Eurostat, the European Union’s statistics agency, says on Tuesday that inflation in the year to May was minus 0.1 per cent, up slightly from the previous month’s minus 0.2 per cent. Separately, Eurostat said unemployment in the Eurozone held at 10.2 per cent in April. May’s rate was anticipated and is unlikely to alter expectations that the European Central Bank will refrain from announcing further stimulus measures at its next policy meeting Thursday.
