Dubai: The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy launched on Thursday the State of Green Economy Report for 2018, highlighting outlook and policies for the transformation to a green economy.
Dubai is aiming to become a global hub for a green economy, and has set a strategy of having 7 per cent of the emirate’s total power output coming from clean energy by 2020. This target will increase to 25 per cent by 2030, and 75 per cent by 2050.
The report also includes discussions on green finance and public-private partnerships for a green economy.
