Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority seeks more German investments

European powerhouse represents 21% of firms from the continent operating in free zone

Dubai: The Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (Dafza) says it intends to attract more investors from Germany as part of a marketing campaign to attract more foreign direct investment (FDI).

German firms are currently the top investors among European firms, with 21 per cent of the total number of European firms operating in Dafza. The authority has staged marketing events in Germany and attended major trade shows.

“We at Dafza are fully committed to providing an integrated portfolio of investment advantages that promotes the competitiveness of Dubai as an attractive centre for German companies desiring to expand in the local and regional markets,” said Amna Rashid Lootah, Dafza’s assistant director-general of the Finance and Commercial Division.
