ADIB vice-chairman to continue serving as acting CEO

Dubai: The board of directors of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has accepted the resignation of Tirad Mahmoud from his position as group chief executive officer of the bank, after being on medical leave from March 2017.

Mahmoud joined the bank as CEO in 2008 after spending 25 years in the banking and financial services industry.

In a statement on Sunday, ADIB said Khamis Buharoon, the bank’s vice-chairman will continue as acting chief executive officer, a role he has carried out since March.
