Dubai: Etihad Airways’ inaugural flight to San Francisco touched down Tuesday night.

The flight to San Francisco International Airport marked the airline’s non-stop daily service between Abu Dhabi and San Francisco, its fifth US destination, according to a statement on Wednesday. It provides the first direct link between Abu Dhabi and Northern California.

The route is operated using a Jet Airways’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft through a lease agreement.

Etihad Airways has a fleet of 105 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, and more than 200 aircraft on firm order.
