Dubai: Emirates said Tuesday that its freight division Emirates SkyCargo, has received a new Boeing 777 Freighter aircraft which the airline will use to connect businesses in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
The airline celebrated its inaugural service on its new Far East and Australasia freighter route on September 12, it said Tuesday in a statement.
DAE Capital, the aircraft leasing division of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, leased the third Boeing 777 Freighter aircraft to Emirates SkyCargo, the aerospace company said in a separate statement on Monday, adding that Deutsche Bank and DVB Bank provided financing to DAE for this aircraft.
The Boeing 777F - which touched down for the first time in Sydney on September 12 - has the capability to carry up to 103 tonnes of freight, Emirates said in the statement.
