Dubai Aerospace appoints consultant to StandardAero

Dubai: Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has appointed a former Rolls-Royce executive to the Board of Directors of its aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) subsidiary.

John Patterson, former President, Marine & Industrial Power Systems for Rolls-Royce Group, will join the StandardAero board as a consultant to help strengthen its franchise in the Asia Pacific region. DAE once held talks to merge its MRO business with British BBA Aviation, however, later decided to focus on developing StandardAero after the talks collapsed.
