Air Seychelles net profit soars to $3.2m

Revenues rise 20% to $106.9m

Abu Dhabi: Air Seychelles, the national carrier of the Republic of Seychelles, announced a net profit for $3.2 million for 2014, marking a third consecutive year of profitability and an increase over last year’s $3 million profits.

Total revenues and passenger numbers each grew 20 per cent with revenues reaching $106.9 million, and passenger numbers at 412,088.

In 2012, Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways acquired a 40 per cent share in Air Seychelles, and implemented a turnaround plan to create a sustainable business.
