Abu Dhabi: The three-day Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2013, where the latest products and innovations related to aviation industry will be displayed, will be officially inaugurated on Tuesday at Al Bateen Executive Airport, a dedicated business jet airport, the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.
The expo under the patronage of Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, will focus on the general aviation industry in the Middle East.
The export will also provide a unique platform to all the pilots and owners to come and share their thoughts and opinions and thus bring new innovative light in aviation industry, Abu Dhabi Airports Company (Adac) said.
The show will also host a number of conferences and meetings which will touch upon general civil aviation topics including training, licensing, safety, and aircraft technology, Adac said.
“Abu Dhabi is witnessing significant growth in the commercial aviation industry across all sectors including general aviation, which in turn supports the Emirate’s air transport strategy in building a strong and sustainable aviation environment,” said Adac.
Yousif Hassan Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Organising Committee for Abu Dhabi Air Expo, Deputy General Manager, Al Bateen Executive Airport, had earlier said: “Abu Dhabi Air Expo is the region’s first exhibition dedicated to general civil aviation and ADAC commits today to hosting the show once again in Abu Dhabi in 2013, highlighting the capital’s position as an international hub for commercial aviation experts and professionals.”
Al Hammadi added that this commitment is part of Adac’s strategy to reinforce Abu Dhabi’s credentials as the region’s premier venue for the commercial aviation and aerospace industry.
According to Adac, potential customers from UAE as well as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Morocco, Yemen, Tunisia and Algeria will be visiting to check out products and services and grab the best deal.
