How university students can get discounted Parkin permits for daily campus parking

Dubai: University and college students in Dubai, along with academic and administrative staff, can now apply for a dedicated parking subscription through Parkin, the emirate’s official public parking operator. The permit offers unlimited daily parking near campuses, helping students save time and avoid accumulating parking fees.

A major perk is the cost: students receive an 80 per cent discount on the subscription fee when applying with a valid student ID, making daily parking far more affordable and convenient.

Where the permit works

The subscription allows parking in roadside and plot spaces within Zones A, B, C, and D, as long as they fall within 500 metres of the campus. Subscribers can choose a plan for one, three, six, or twelve months, but only one vehicle can be registered under the subscription.

Costs

Students and university staff can subscribe for:

  • Dh100 per month

  • Dh300 for three months

  • Dh600 for six months

  • Dh1,200 for one year

Required documents

Applicants must provide:

  • Emirates ID

  • Valid UAE driving licence

  • Vehicle registration

  • For students: enrolment certificate and student ID

  • For staff: proof of employment from the university or college

How to apply

Applications can be submitted online via Parkin’s website or the Parkin app. Once documents are uploaded and the request is approved, the subscription will be activated and ready to use.

Other subscription options

Motorists who are not students or university staff can also sign up for Parkin’s monthly parking permits, which start from Dh500 and cover Zones A, B, C, and D. A ‘plot-only’ subscription is also available for specific B and D zones.

Parkin’s subscription services now extend across all areas it manages, including high-density residential communities such as Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Hills, Karama, Al Qusais, and Al Kifaf.
