Look: Four spectacular golf clubhouses in the UAE

The UAE is blessed with a plethora of stunning clubhouses

Undoubtedly one of the most stunning clubhouses in the golfing world, the iconic Falcon at Abu Dhabi Golf Club was erected in 2000 and pays tribute to the national bird of the UAE, recognising the importance of falconry in Arab tradition and culture. Dating back to hundreds of years, the Bedouin hunters used falcons to gather their food.

After opening in 1988, the Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club was nicknamed “The Desert Miracle” when it became Dubai’s first all-grass championship course. The iconic clubhouse, which has overseen the European Tour’s Dubai Desert Classic since 1989, is modelled on a Bedouin tented village, with visitors experiencing signature Arabian hospitality at the club’s numerous F&B offerings.

Trump International Golf Club, Dubai might be one of the newest golf clubs in the UAE, but it’s uniquely designed clubhouse, located in the heart of DAMAC Hills, is one of the most recognisable in the region. Spanning 30,000sqft, the clubhouse is the largest in Dubai, featuring high-end restaurants, state-of-the-art gymnasium and a luxurious infinity swimming pool.

The sail-shaped clubhouse at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, which first opened in 1993, offers visitors sublime vistas of the acclaimed Championship course and Dubai’s towering skyline, which is set to the backdrop of the 14km long natural saltwater creek. The clubhouse was designed to reflect a modern interpretation of a traditional dhow in full sail capturing the essence of Dubai’s seafaring traditions.
