UAE Professionals lead UAE Amateurs in 2022 Dubai Golf Trophy
16 Singles Matches tomorrow to decide outcome over Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club
The first round of the Dubai Golf Trophy, the annual golf match between the UAE Pros and the UAE Amateurs was played today at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club with Day 2 tomorrow being played at Emirates Golf Club over the Majlis Course with the 2022 Dubai Golf Trophy honours being decided by the 16 Singles Matches.
An always keenly contested match there were some close matches throughout the day.
The Morning Foursomes matches saw the Pros lead by 4 ½ - 3 ½ points, whilst the Afternoon Fourballs saw a 4 – 4 tie.
Pointer players
Special mention must be made of the two pointer players from the day, winning both their matches from both Teams: from the Pros Team: Jackson Bell (Jumeirah Golf Estates), Graham Forbes (ProSports International), Nathan Kernaghan (The Els Club) and Ryan Smith (Arabian Ranches Golf Club) and from the Amateur Team: Hugo Garcia (Emirates Golf Club), Yash Majmudar (Jumeirah Golf Estates) and Sam Mullane (The Els Club).
