Saadiyat Beach Golf Club Men’s Open this weekend

36 hole event, the 14th of 17 events on the 2022 – 2023 Emirates Golf Federation Men's OOM

A field of 64 players will compete in the 2023 Saadiyat Beach Golf Club Men’s Open to be held tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday in Abu Dhabi.

The event is a 36 hole event, the 14th of 17 events on the 2022 – 2023 Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) Men’s Order of Merit. 30 points are available for the winner with Order of Merit points being awarded to the top 20 players.

Defending champion Jay Mullane (Jumeirah Golf Estates) and recent winner of The Els Club Men’s Open is one of seven of the top eight in the EGF Order of Merit entered in this event with tee times for round one from 7 am with a two-tee start.

The second round on Sunday will be played with the leaders out last in gross order, all from the first tee.

Jonathan Selveraj (Trump International GC) will strike the first tee shot off tee one, playing alongside current Order of Merit leader Sam Mullane (Jumeirah Golf Estates).

Match two sees the defending champion Jay Mullane (JGE) alongside Joe Jones (Langland Bay GC, England) teeing off at 7am from tee 10.

The field consists of 24 players boasting a plus handicap with Selveraj the lowest in the field off a +6.3 handicap.

Eight UAE golf clubs are represented in the field, 20 players from the host golf club, along with a number of international entries.
