Dubai: The opening day of the two-leg 18-hole Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic Pro-Am ended in dramatic fashion on Tuesday afternoon on the Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club, with a four-ball led by New Zealand professional Ryan Fox carding a net -28 under par.

This gave them victory with a back nine countback victory (-22 vs -15) over a JA The Resort quartet helmed by Dubai resident Adri Arnaus. Fox’s team, which included Texas-based golf influencer Garrett Clarke, as well as Tom Broders (Bubbie) and Joe Gilliland, claimed the victory after a stunning back nine score of -22 under par.

The format of the Pro-Am was ‘Shambles’ with the best drive of the day being chosen from the team of four players and then each player holes out from this position with his own ball.

The second Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic Pro-Am will be held tomorrow (Wednesday).
