Lara El Chaib wins The Els Club Ladies’ Open
The ninth of 11 events on the Emirates Golf Federation Ladies’ Order of Merit
Lara El Chaib (Abu Dhabi Golf Club) shot a gross 75, three over par to win The Els Club Ladies’ Open supported by Caesars Palace Dubai.
Starting on hole one and playing from the 5,343 Yards Red Tee course, Lara was out in 37, birdieing hole two and eagling hole eight, but bogeying hole one and taking a triple bogey on hole 9.
On the back nine she responded with birdies on holes 13 and 16 to come home in 38 to take the title by one stroke from Jamie Camero (The Els Club). Camero led the field after nine holes with a level par 36, but a four bogey back nine meant she had to settle for the runners-up spot.
The 18 hole Net Division was won by Sara Ali (EGF) who shot a gross 77 off her five handicap.
This event is the ninth of 11 events on the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) Ladies’ Order of Merit, with El Chaib currently third in the merit table and Camero second.
