Desert Rose embraces all in Par 3 Social at Trump International in Dubai
The Desert Rose Golfing Society (DRGS) has enhanced its already busy calendar by adding a regular Par 3 Social event over the floodlit course at Trump International Golf Club, Dubai that takes place every first Sunday of the month.
It started in October and this month’s December event saw 23 players competing, a mix of DRGS Members, friends, couples and spouses.
The format was an individual gross medal minus one-quarter of a player’s EGF Handicap.
The nine-hole Par 3 competition is followed by a prize giving and group dinner on the Terrace at Prato. Congratulations go to the winners: Janet Jackman, Nicole Mertens and Mary Seib who picked up the first three places on the night.
The response to this new addition to the 2021 DRGS calendar has been well received by all. The aim of DRGS is to have fun through the platform of golf and this monthly event has already proved a winner. The Gil Hanse designed Par 3 floodlit facility is perfect for what we are looking for with our group. Special thanks go to Martin McDonagh and Jonathan Warth from the club’s management for their support in both organising and hosting.
Activities continue with the DRGS with 24 players participating in a team event at JA The Resort, Jebel Ali, on Monday.
With the festive season approaching and many of the members travelling the calendar takes a short break and returns in January, 2022.
Prior to the break the following events are on the DRGS Calendar:
December 8 — Trump International Golf Club.
December 13 — JA The Resort Jebel Ali Order of Merit event.
December 15 — Al Zorah Golf Club.
December 20 — Dubai Hills Golf Club Xmas Scramble.
The 2022 DRGS calendar returns as below:
