He highlighted evidence from Chinese literature suggesting earlier use of distillation in China. Al Ghamdi mentioned how complex chemical operations, like extracting mercury from cinnabar powder, were conducted using a Chinese copper apparatus centuries before Hayyan's alembic appeared.
