COVID-19: UAE landmarks light up in blue in support of health workers

#LightItBlue sees buildings light up in solidarity with front-line coronavirus fighters

Blue isn’t always the colour of sadness. Sometimes, it’s one of solidarity. This past week in an effort to show support to frontline healthcare workers who confront the realities of the coronavirus pandemic, a new initiative was born that saw a number of buildings light up in blue in the UK. Taking it forward were countries such as the US and UAE, where well-known landmarks lit up on Monday in the same spirit of humanity and togetherness.
