While we do not want to give too much away, but as the title suggests, the film is based on the third battle of Panipat, which was fought between the northern expeditionary force of the Maratha Empire and the invading forces of the King of Afghanistan, in 1761. The film also stars actor Mohnish Bahl, who is known for his role as Doctor Shashank, in the hit television show Sanjivani.
