Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) has announced that the children aged 12 and above can now be inoculated with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine which is available at all 60 vaccination Seha centres across the country. The facilities are also continuing to offer the Sinopharm vaccine to residents 16 years and older. Residents must get their children vaccinated to keep them ready to attend schools in person during the next academic year. The strict measures will begin tomorrow until May 31 where schools and non-essential businesses will close and social, religious and sporting events will be banned. The country posted 35,884 new COVID-19 cases yesterday after hitting a record high 39,652 on Wednesday. Under 5 per cent of the 45 million population has been fully vaccinated. "We are living the worst moment since the pandemic began," Fernandez said. "Today as never before we must all take care of ourselves to avoid all the losses that we can."
