How to use the Digital Sharjah app to access all Sharjah government services

You can now have 24/7 access to over 41 private and public services in Sharjah

Dubai: With over 40 services available at your fingertips, Sharjah residents and citizens will now have unfettered access to almost every public and private service through the Digital Sharjah app. Customers can now pay their Sewa bill, traffic fines or top up their phone’s credit, all from the comfort of their home or office.

What is Digital Sharjah?

The digitisation of Sharjah government services comes under the directive of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. The app was launched on Wednesday, November 24, by Sharjah Digital Office (SDO).

The app is available on all Android and Apple devices.

You can also use the platform through a dedicated website - ds.sharjah.ae.

The app includes sections for citizens, residents, and visitors. Each of these sections includes services relevant to each group.

What are the services available on Digital Sharjah?

There are 41 essential services, which can be found under seven categories:

  2. Transportation
  3. Utilities
  4. Social services
  5. General
  6. Real Estate

So, whether it’s checking the weather or reserving a trade name for your business, the Digital Sharjah app encompasses almost every government service in the emirate.

Pay Sewa, phone bills and traffic fines

Do you have electricity or phone bills to pay or a traffic fine? Here's a list of payments you can make through the app and website:

  • Etisalat bills
  • Sewa bills
  • Etisalat recharge
  • Pay public parking fees
  • Sharjah RTA fines
  • Sharjah Municipality Vehicle Violations

Etisalat bills, recharge, and Sewa bills come under the Utilities category, while the transport and municipal vehicle violations come under transportation.

Transportation by Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority

An essential category for drivers and frequent users of public transportation, it covers all modes of transport from taxis to flight information. These are some of the services available:

Book a taxi: Users can choose from various types of taxis – regular taxi, family taxi, ladies’ taxi, taxi for People of Determination and limousine service.

Flight status: Access information on flight timings, flight status and other updates from Sharjah International Airport.

Al Diyafa Service: This service enables travellers to get complete VIP treatment at Sharjah Airport with exclusive lounge access.

Lost and found: Report and obtain lost items from Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority.

Road complaint: Register complaints or report a damaged or unsafe road.

Social Support

The service from the Sharjah Social Services Department entails welfare and protection services for elderly and mentally ill UAE citizens, as well as UAE citizens who fall under the category of People of Determination.

RAHMA (home nursing): Request home nursing service or a mental health professional for UAE’s elderly citizens and citizens who are People of Determination, or permanent residents of Sharjah who fall under the low-income category.

Home care request: This is specifically for UAE citizens who are above 60 years old, People of Determination or mentally ill. Users can request health, social and mental home care packages.

Report Child Abuse: This service allows you to report child abuse and protects child rights.

Request for Social Aid Statement: It is a service available to all customers registered with Sharjah’s Social Service Department, to request for a ‘To whom it may concern’ certificate.

Volunteer Registration Request: Register as a volunteer in the Sharjah Centre for Volunteers.

Request for Court Statement: A service available to all customers availing social aid to request for a court statement.

Besides accessing public and private services, you can find prayer timings and also check the weather.

Report and submit violence and abuse complaints through the app and online platform.

With various services from the Sharjah Economic Development Department being offered on this platform, if you are a new entrepreneur, you can start running your business all through the app. The category of ‘Business’ has all the necessary services needed for a budding business.

Register New Investor: The registration of a new investor in Sharjah.

Reserve a Trade Name: An investor can reserve a trade name for their business through this service.

Search for Licence: Search for information on specific trade licence.

Renew Reservation of Trade Name: Investors can renew a reserved a trade name.

Social Bundle: Search for a registered company.

Print investor licences’ report request: Investors can acquire a physical copy of their licence report.

Consumer protection complaint: Submit complaints related to Consumer Protection.

Service agent complaint: Register a complaint related to a service agent.

Estimate Licence fees: Investors can get an approximate value of licence issuance fees or licence renewal fees.

Commercial fraud complaint – trademarks: Users can submit complaints related to commercial fraud – trademarks.
