It was an evening of classic Hollywood glamour at the 74th Emmy Awards
The biggest night in television begins on the red carpet, and the 74th Emmy Awards served up an evening to remember with women favouring glamorous gowns and men suiting up for some classic Hollywood style.
Two years ago the Emmys held a virtual affair and the downsized event last year couldn’t live up to the hype, but in 2022 the best show of fashion in Los Angeles is back in full force with an elegant and dazzling display.
Winning her second Emmy, for best actress in a drama, Zendaya was stunning on the night looking flawless on the red carpet in a Valentino black gown and jewellery from Bulgari.
English actor Nicholas Hoult rocked a Dior Men outfit and Briony Raymond jewelry, and another superstar Bob Odenkirk also chose Dior Men while late night TV star Trevor Noah showed up in a classic Gucci cut mixing things up with a touch of Cartier jewelry.
Geena Davis brightened up the show in a vintage gown by Lebanese designer Rani Zakhem, and Hannah Waddingham from the hit TV show Ted Lasso knocked it out of the park wearing a figure-hugging Dolce & Gabanna pink gown with Bulgari jewelry.
Andrew Garfield chose an all-white suit from Zegna for a breezy summer feel to his look, complete with some sunglasses by Zayn Malik, as did Seth Rogen in a Brunello Cucinelli all-white outfit and black loafers.
Kerry Washington chose the king of red carpet gowns, Elie Saab, with a piece from the spring-summer 2022 Couture collection, and Christina Ricci added a dash of mystery and flair to the red carpet in a Fendi dress.
Kaley Cuoco wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown laced with flower motifs and she completed the look with Stuart Weitzman shoes and Boucheron jewelry.
Rosario Dawson was another star who heeded Old Hollywood in a vintage inspired Christian Siriano gown, as did Alexandra Daddario in Christian Dior Couture, while Reese Witherspoon dazzled in Armani Privé with Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
