Sharjah has been supporting young and emerging photographers since 2013 when the first edition of Vantage Point Sharjah was launched. A decade later Vantage Point Sharjah 10 is almost upon us, celebrating art from photographers from all over the world and in particular the underrepresented regions.

Since it’s had time to evolve into a must-visit exhibition, Vantage Point Sharjah 10 engages visitors with multiple approaches to photography, including photo essays, photo journalism, analogue film, and experimental works. This year the focus is on social realities and contemporary lives - an international jury will also select a winner and four runners up for the Vantage Point Photography Award.

Set to return to Al Hamriyah Studios where the exhibition takes place every year by the Sharjah Art Foundation, works displayed will be featured from many photographers coming from dozens of countries. The previous edition of Vantage Point Sharjah last year featured 50 photographers from 30 countries.
